New Car Protection

Ceramic protection for new cars — applied properly, so it lasts.

★★★★★ Trusted by car owners in North London

Dealer paint protection vs doing it properly

Dealers usually offer “paint protection” at handover because it is convenient — the car is already there. But convenience and proper preparation are not the same thing, and a coating applied quickly over transport marring locks those defects in.

Done correction-first — decontaminate, refine, prep, then coat — the finish is protected from day one and stays easier to look after for years.

Why it matters on a new car

  • New cars aren’t perfect: transport contamination, adhesive residue and light wash marring are common.
  • Prep is everything: applying protection over defects locks them in.
  • Done properly: ceramic protection makes maintenance easier and preserves gloss for years.

Common Questions About New Car Protection

Quick answers to the questions we hear most from new and existing owners.

The dealer offered paint protection — isn’t that the same thing?

Usually not. Dealer packages are often applied quickly with little preparation, sometimes using short-term sealants marketed as “ceramic”. Proper new car protection is correction-first: decontamination, light refinement, bonding prep, then a controlled ceramic application. If you want protection that still performs in a few years, the preparation is the part that matters.

My car is brand new — why would it need any polishing?

Often it needs only a light refinement, not full correction. New paint can still pick up marring from transport covers, dealer washing and handling, and applying a coating over that locks it in. We inspect first and only refine what will genuinely improve the finish or help the coating bond.

Will ceramic coating stop scratches completely?

No — no coating is scratch-proof. It improves chemical resistance, adds UV protection, reduces the risk of wash marring when the car is washed correctly, and makes maintenance much easier. Good wash habits still do most of the work, and stone chips need paint protection film, which is a separate product.

How long does the process take?

Typically 24–48 hours depending on the package. That time covers safe preparation, controlled application and initial curing, and we would rather give the coating the time it needs than rush the prep.

Should I do this now, or wait until later?

Sooner is better. Protecting the paint while it is still in good condition is quicker and cheaper than correcting it once wash marring and swirls have built up. If you are only keeping the car a short time, a lighter package may be all it needs — we will say so honestly.
